JAMMU, Nov 28: Directorate of School Education Jammu today organised a District Level Science Exhibition under Samgra Shiksha 2019 through District Institute of Education (DIET) Jammu here at Government High School Gandhi Nagar. Commissioner Secretary School Education Department, Sarita Chauhan, Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta and SPD Samagra Shiksha, Dr. Arun Manhas graced the occasion. The event, which witnessed enthusiastic participation of students and staff, was participated by about 170 Government Schools from 15 zones of district Jammu. The participants displayed around 177 Science Models on varied themes like Water Harvesting, Flood Alarm Systems, Disaster Management, Solar Power, Bio Pesticides, Lift Irrigation, Global Warming, Soil Conservation, Waste Management etc.
GHSS Jajjar Kotli, GBHSS Gandhi Nagar and GGHSS Canal Road, were declared as 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner respectively.
Sarita Chauhan appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers who had come up with innovative ideas to solve day to day issues through workable models. She said that such exhibitions and model making not only help the students in understanding the concepts better but can actually be used by government agencies and other institutions for practical purposes. |
