Jammu, Jan 31: MV International School conducted a seminar and counselling session on ‘Sanitary based Health Awareness’ at ‘Gudwal Middle School’ in which girl students of classes 6th to 8th of different government schools of District Samba participated. The session was conducted by health expert Sakshi Sharma of MV International school along with the girl students namely Anchita Choudhary 6th C, Ashwika Bhatia 6th C, Vanya Saini 7th C, Anushka Soan 8th A and Minal Angurana 8th C of the school. The main purpose of this session was to create awareness among the girls of rural area regarding the importance of personal hygiene practices especially during menstrual cycle. The unhygienic practices in personal care especially during this time can result into severe health problems ranging from internal allergies and infections to infertility and cervical cancer in extreme cases. |
