Opposition is main pillar of democracy: Manohar

Jammu, Mar 9: Former Minister and President DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal today while conducting public meeting at village Pachokachak near Hiranagar lambasted BJP government at centre for using ill methods to suppress the voice of opposition. While addressing Dr Sharma said anyone who speaks against the Government and questions government is termed as anti national . Citing recent example he said the judge who told Delhi police to register FIR against Hate speech by BJP leaders in Delhi was transfered withing hours after order. Manohar said suppressing Opposition and it’s voice is murder of democracy as Opposition is one of the main pillars of Indian democracy and BJP is using ill methods to suppress it. HE said now days CBI,ED are main weapons of BJP against Opposition.
Dr Sharma directly questioned local MLA and MP both from BJP to show there progress report regarding developmental projects carried by them in Billawar during their tenures. He said no new project started in the area and the ones started during his tenure are still waiting for completion .
He further questioned the statues of presitigious Dayalachak- challan road project.Dr Sharma said on an average payments of 2-3 crores in pending in each block of J&K under MNREGA which is further forcing contractors and workers to lead a miserable life. He said one side govt conducted back to village 1 & 2 but though after promising with people they have failed miserably in clearing the said payments which amount to approx. 500-600 crores.
