JAMMU, Mar 9: To ensure that masks and essential items are not sold at exorbitant rates in wake of corona threat an inspection team headed by Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar, Javid Iqbal Khanday along with Santosh Kumar Drug Inspector, Mukesh Sharma Sub Inspector Police station Kishtwar among others conducted intensive Market checking of Kishtwar town.
The team which was constituted on the directions of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara conducted the intensive market checking especially on the various medical shops and seized the masks from the erring shopkeepers who were selling the masks at exhoribant rates besides fined them for overcharging. Furthermore during checking the shopkeepers were sensitized and directed by the inspection team to display the rate list of masks and other essential medicines at the conscipicious places in their shops and restrain from overcharging and warned them that strict action for overcharging and hoarding will be taken against them. |
