NDS felicitates two women on International Women's Day

Jammu, Mar 9: Nami Dogri Sanstha Jammu felicitated two eminent lady educationists with Mementoes and Shawls at Akhnoor on International Women Day for their outstanding services.
Sushma Gupta, Principal, Little Hut High School has put in thirty years of service in the field of education. She started from a Nursery school in 1991 and raised this institute to the level of high school with dent of her hard work and dedication.
Second female who was felicitated was Shilpa Mahajan, Principal, Shubh Memorial International School. She has already been conferred with Awantika National Award twice and also conferred with Edufeed leadership award. She is also engaged vigorously in social work. Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS who was Chief Guest on the occasion in his address said that the International Women Day aims at empowering the women individually, socially and economically apart from equalie opportunities and save them from discrimination. He said that both the prominent ladies felicitated has played a pivotal and iconic role in the field of education and social work.
Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President, NDS, presided over the function. He in his address said that International Women Day was initiated in 1913 but it is unfortunate that the women are still discriminating in many fields. "Beti Paddao - Beti Bachao" needs to be implemented in letter and spirit.
