JKPCC OBC deptt criticizes new Commission for Backward classes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 22: OBC department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has claimed that the constitution of new commission for backward classes was contrary to the demands and aspirations of OBC population of J&K. Chairman OBC Department Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra said the newly constituted Commission is totally contrary to the demands and aspirations of the OBC peoples of J&K in which non OBC Chairman and members have been appointed which was remain the demand of the OBC community of J&K. The OBC peoples always demanded that the chairman and the members of the said commission must be from the same community for which the commission is constituted and the non OBC members can never understand their genuine grievances, Dogra said. Adv.Suresh Kumar Dogra further said it is also mentioned in the order that the new Commission shall determine the criteria to consider any section of the peoples in the union territory of J&K as Socially and educationally Backward classes and for this point. “Now the J&K has been become Union Territory and it is no more State in which National laws should prevail for the Interest of the Justice and Like other UTs and States of India the implementation of Mandal commission report becomes mandatory which is also the verdict of Apex court of India in1992”, he said, adding,, in the Mandal commission report, the criteria is already existed there and now it is demanded by the OBC peoples of J&K to LG G.C Murmu to dissolve ambiguous commission and constitute it again by bringing Chairman and Members from the same Community.
