UDHAMPUR, May 17: Udhampur police recovered 4.6 kg of poppy husk from a narcotic smuggler at Motorshed, Chenani Udhampur.
Giving details, Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that a party of Police Station (PS) Chenani during naka checking intercepted one bus bearing registration number JK02BN 9477 for checking.
During checking of said vehicle, 4.6 Kg of poppy husk was recovered. The accused person (bus driver) namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Bal Krishan of Garhi, Udhampurwas arrested on spot and recovered poppy husk was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 66/2020 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Chenani and further investigation of the case is going on. |
