JKCCTU wants regularization to be taken up | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 17: Mohammad Maqbool President and Gurmeet Singh General Secretary J&K Co-ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) have expressed serious concern over recent decision of the government to fill up all the Class IV posts on fast track basis while ignoring regularization and wage increase of thousands of temporary workers like casual, contract, Angawadi and Asha workers. Both said that the demands are pending before the government despite the tall claims for their regularization. In fact all these vacant class iv post are meant for the absorption of these temporary workers as has been the practice in the past especially in works departments like PDD, PHE, R&B, they said. The leaders said that the present administration is neither creating additional posts for the regularization of these workers who are working against the permanent nature of jobs nor absorbing them against available vacant posts which is very much injustice to them and even against the commitments of the previous and present governments. |
