CB Jammu arrests fraudster for duping unemployed youth of Rs 7 lakh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 1: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu arrested a fraudster from Dangiwacha in district Baramulla for his involvement in duping unemployed youth of Jammu of an amount of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of arranging government jobs for them. The accused Mohd Syed Shah son of Bhaw-ud-Din Shah of Budhsmi Nagar, Natipura Srinagar at present Dangiwacha Baramulla was booked in case FIR No 47/2019 U/S 420 RPC of P/S Crime Branch, Jammu. The accused was not cooperating in the investigation of the instant case and was constantly evading his arrest by changing his locations. In a written complaint lodged by the complainants including Vikas Sharma son of Kulwant Raj of Sungal Tehsil Akhnoor, Pardeep Kumar son of Bodh Raj of Sandal Tehsil Chowki Choura, Sanjay son of Lal Chand of Mawa Brahmana Akhnoor District Jammu with Crime Branch, Jammu, alleging therein that being unemployed they had paid in cash Rs 2.50 lakh, Rs 2.50 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively to the accused Mohd. Syed Shah, who claimed to be working on the post of Agriculture Assistant in J&K Agriculture Department, for arranging their appointments on permanent basis in Secretariat at Srinagar, but neither the accused got them appointed as promised nor did he return their money. Crime Branch Jammu laid a trap for his arrest and with meticulous planning and coordination, the location of the accused was traced and arrested with the cooperation of local police. The accused has been produced before the Court through virtual mode and his 6 days police remand has been obtained for further investigation of the case.
