| Mayor JMC visits Nanak Nagar area | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with S. Sardar Inder Singh Sudan Councilor of ward no.44 visited various localities of sec no 12 & its adjoining areas to take stock of the situation, which arose due to incessant rains during the last few days.
Sardar Manmohan Singh , Sardar Amrik Singh, Sardar Randeep Singh, Sardar Amarjeet Singh, Inspector Joginder Singh and other prominent inhabitants of the area were also present there & drew attention of the mayor towards damaged caused to their houses, property as well as drains/lanes & Blacktopping of the roads due to overflowing the nallahas flowing in sec.12 Nanak Nagar and adjoining areas.
They further told that residents especially children & senior citizens have been facing great hardships while passing through the lanes during their routine work.
Mayor gave them patient hearing and assured the Councillor as well as locals that JMC has taken up the job of de-silting all the nallas of Jammu but most of the nullas have been encroached.
He appealed the general public not to throw polythene, garbage, slit in the public drains and nallas and remove the encroachments if done by any one at their own level to avoid any type of mishappening.
