| Atul Pangotra selected one of officials in Paralympics Games | | |

Jammu, Sept 1: The top ranked Player/Coach/Referee of Taekwondo which is an Olympic sport Atul Pangotra (NIS) has created history after getting selected among top 50 Officials based on his performance as an International Referee by World Taekwondo (WT) for the 2021 Paralympics Games, Scheduled to be held in Tokyo Japan. The said top notch official has successfully completed the recent based virtual training seminar organized by World Taekwondo on account of 2021 Para-Olympics. All top 50 selected officials from different countries participated in the said seminar, which commenced on 28th -31st, 2020. On the Opening ceremony World Taekwondo President Dr. Chung won Choue, graced the occasion and interacted with all the selected referee officials.
The above mentioned online seminar was supported by Para Referee committee of World Taekwondo headed by Master Usman Dildar Games Chairman and Para Referee committee chairman Master Chakir Chelbat. Recipient of Sher-I-Kashmir and State Awardees, Atul Pangotra is the only player of Jammu And Kashmir State who secured silver and bronze medal in commonwealth Taekwondo Championship respectively. He has participated in many International Events as a Player/ Coach/ Referee and brought laurels to the country and state in every field. Last year Atul Pangotra represented Indian Taekwondo team in the 18th Asian Games at Jakarta, Indonesia as Official. He is second from the country who has participated as a Referee official in World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series at Manchester, 2018. |
