PAF rues inflated prices of vegetables, demands establishment of Sabzi Mandi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, Feb 11: Prominent political and social activist and President Public Awareness Front (PAF) Shakir Saddiqui today rued the sky rocketing prices of vegetables and said that Kishtwar town is lacking the facility of Sabzi Mandi. Siddiqui said that those who are selling vegetables at reasonable rates are being harassed by the concerned authorities as there is no proper space for them, adding that all this clearly indicates that there is nexus of authorities and those vendors who are selling vegetables on much higher rates. PAF president made an appeal to the District administration to locate a suitable place for poor vendors who are selling vegetables at cheaper rates immediately so that the customer should buy the vegetables at reasonable rates and the unemployed youth involved in trade should be given opportunity to establish their own business so that they can feed their families. Moreover Siddiqui appealed the District administration to immediately open a Sabzi Mandi in Kishtwar town. |
