GURDAS KUMAR EARLY TIMES REPORT VIJAYPUR, Feb 11: Kaulpur-Pakhari, a major road of the border area of Ramghar that connects at least five villages is awaiting completion for the last two years, as blacktopping of the road has not been done. The residents and elected villages representatives time and again have raised the issues with the authorities, but no action has been taken. "In the border area of Ramgarh, work of two-kilometre Kaulpur to Pakhari road including its blacktopping begun two years back, but it seems that the PWD put riverbed material and crushed stone on the road and has forgotten to complete it", said Karnail Singh, who lives in village Khanpur. He said that due to the poor condition of the road, people are worried and they find it difficult to drive a vehicle on the road. He further said that if someone falls ill, it is difficult to take him/her hospital for treatment. Sarpanch Kuldeep Kumar Verma said that the road is in very bad condition, and due to delay in completion of road works including black topping, walking or driving on the road is not safe for humans or the vehicle. "It is a very important road that connects five villages. The PWD authorities should immediately start and complete the blacktopping so that people can get relief", he added. |
