Int'l Faculty Development Programme begins at GDC Darhal | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Feb 23: A 7-day long online International Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Empowering Teacher Education and Technology" organized by Government Degree College (GDC) Darhal in collaboration with Cape Comorin Trust India started today. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia said that this was a rare opportunity for a newly established college to organize such an International FDP and the credit goes to the Department of Higher Education, Govt of J&K for providing better infrastructure to even far flung colleges that they are in a position to even organize such International mega events. He told that 93 participants from India and other parts of the world are attending this FDP. He said that such faculty development programmes are the need of the hour as a technologically advanced teacher is more effective in this present era. He also appreciated the efforts of faculty members of the college for taking the newly established college to new heights. Convener of FDP Dr. Ahsan Ul Rehman HOD Arabic GDC Darhal introduced the participants about the faculty development programme. He also invited the resource person on the first day of FDP Dr Malini Ganapathy School of Languages, Literacies and Translation University Sains Malaysia who deliberated on the topic "Teacher Educator's Knowledge and Practices of the 21st Century Pedagogies. |
