CUJ organizes Faculty Development Programme on 'Innovations in Teaching' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 23: A week long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Innovations in Teaching' organized by the Centre for Learning and Pedagogic Studies under the aegis of the prestigious PMMMNMTT scheme, Ministry of Education, Govt of India, is going on at Central University of Jammu (CUJ). The inaugural session was graced by Prof M M Pant who delivered his keynote address in which he appreciated the efforts of the Department towards Pedagogical Innovations in Education. He emphasized the shift from traditional to blended mode of learning. Presidential remarks were presented by Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ. He opined that the department is working towards the capacity building in various areas which is the required for the effective implementation of NEP 2020. Prof Aima also emphasized that teachers should play the role of interface between the knowledge seekers and knowledge creators. He further said that the role of teachers is to prepare the students to become the productive contributors to the society where innovations can play a significant role. Dr J N Baliya, Programme Coordinator, PMMMNMTT welcomed the guests and participants. Dr Kiran, coordinator of the centre has planned 28 sessions in the 7 day-long FDP. During the entire FDP ICT experts from various national level institutions have been invited to contribute their knowledge as Resource Persons. The Faculty members Dr Ritu Bakshi, Dr Aman, Dr Asit Mantry and Dr Ravi Vanguri and scholars were also present in the sessions. |
