Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 23: A 5-day long Civil Defence (CD) Camp concluded at Central University of Jammu (CUJ) today. As many as 106 members of Permanent Staff/ Housekeeping Staff/Security Staff/Outsourcing Staff of the University were imparted the techniques of First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting and conduct of rescue operations during any disaster/eventuality. The training was carried on under close supervision of DySP Shashi Thakur, DyController Civil Defence, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, DyController Civil Defence Jammu highlighted the importance and role of Civil Defence in human life and also stressed upon the motto of the Civil Defence i.e, selfless services of CD volunteers to the nation as and when required. Ravi Kumar, Assistant Registrar Central University of Jammu, & Dr. Vikas Gupta Assistant Registrar, coordinator of the University were also present on the occasion. The training Programme was organized in-coordination with Dr Vikas Gupta, Assistant Registrar. He appreciated the initiative taken by the Civil Defence organization with regard to the techniques of First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting and conduct of rescue operations during any disaster/eventuality. Apart from Civil Defence Instructors/officials of RCDCC, Jammu Paramjeet Kumar Chief Warden CD Jammu, Vijay Mangotra, Dy Divisional Warden CD were also present on the occasion. |
