Shiv Sena demands Railway Museum at RS Pura | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 23: Shiv Sena Bala Sahab Thackray Jammu and Kashmir Unit expressed resentment over the plans of UT J&K government to run the heritage train from Bikram Chowk in Jammu city to Suchetgarh via R S Pura on the historical route on which once train used to run from Jammu to Lahore via Sialkot (now in Pakistan). Speaking at the joining programme held at RS Pura, Manish Sahni, J&K President Shiv Sena said that instead of running mini train government should construct a Railway Museum at RS Pura which would give fillip to the border tourism in Jammu and attract large number of Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims. He emphasized that adding that the history of the train between Jammu and Sialkot before partition could not be revived at the cost of rendering homeless thousands. Sahni said that since the rail link connects with Pakistan, they do not want any link, connection with the neighboring nation as it have been killing our soldiers, damaging livestock from time to time amid unprovoked Ceasefire Violations (CFVs) by the Pak troops. The RS Pura unit of Shiv Sena Jammu was also reconstituted by appointing dozens. While restructuring Balveer Singh was appointed as president, Tarsem Lal Vice President, Bhajan Lal Secretary, Meena Kumari Vice President Women Wing and Sudesh Kumari Secretary. On this occasion, President Women Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Geeta Lakhotra and Sukhvinder Kour Secretary Mahila Wing, Praveen Gupta Secretary, Rajesh Handa and Sushil Kumar were present. |
