Jammu, Mar 5: Airport Advisory Committee meeting was held today at Jammu Airport under the Chairmanship of Jugal Kishore Sharma, M.P, Lok Sabha, Jammu-Poonch Constituency.
The meeting was convened by P. R. Beuria, Airport Director, Jammu. Members from Indian Air Force, District administration, CISF along with nominated members from trade, commerce, industry and socio-political field were present. A brief presentation was made by Airport Director highlighting traffic position, passenger facility, development works and various issues.
Vikram Randhawa, ex-MLC, member raised the issue of compensation and rehabilitation of occupants displaced from land in front of Airport.
Ghansham Singh, ADC, Jammu assured to look in to the matter. Members pointed out the traffic congestion in front of the Airport and demanded for a flyover. MP issued deliberations and requested all members to come together to sort out the issue, since development work of airport is the primary objective. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to chair.
