SPMR College of Commerce wins Semaphore competition in CATC camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 5: Naval unit NCC of Government SPMR College of Commerce won the trophy in Semaphore competition in a 10 day-long CATC camp held at Annual Training Camp, Nagrota under the aegis of NCC, Directorate J&K and Ladakh. The camp that involved 400 boys and girls cadets from various colleges right from northern most Uri to Kathua was conducted at NCC camping ground, Nagrota. As a part of ongoing campaign to commemorate "Swarnim Vijay Divas” of 1971 war, cadets also undertook several activities like quiz competition, poster making competition, screening of movies and lectures by Defence Officers on l97l war. In painting competition cadet Salchi of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce won the first pizeon the theme Vrjay Diwas. ANO Prof (Lt) Savita Jamwal applauded the efforts of NCC in moulding the youth of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh towards a disciplined, selfless and character oriented citizens ensures their promising oontribution towards the future of nation. Appreciating the NCC cadets for their exemplary performances Prof. R.S Jamwal, principal of the College lauded the efforts of cadets and their Associate NCC officers. He encouraged the cadets of both the wings i.e. Infanty and Naval Wings of the College to inculcate a sense of patriotism, besides having values of self-discipline and self-belief to overcome any obstacles in their lives. |
