JAMMU, Mar 5: A capacity building-cum-awareness workshop was organized by Social Forestry Division (SFD) Udhampur in Social Forestry Block Majalta. About 70 people of 6 Village Panchayat Plantation Committee (VPPCs) including chairman, women, nomads and other prominent persons participated in the work shop.
The workshop was chaired by Regional Director Social Forestry Jammu Mohinder Kumar Gupta and also attended by Divisional Forest Officer Social Forestry Division Udhampur Abinav Ramyotra, Range Officer Social Forestry Range Udhampur Jangan Nath Sharma, Range Officer Social Forestry Range Ramnagar Rakesh Singh, Block Officer Ram Lal and other staff members.
The chairman of VPPCs and other prominent person applauded the initiative of Social Forestry Department in organizing the said work shop and also demanded to organize similar kind of workshops in other Panchayat as well.
The meeting was also attended by Rajesh Sharma Sarpanch Barnara, Babu Ram Sarpanch Thalora, Balwant Singh Sarpanch Devi Bani, Sunita Devi Sarpanch Ghar Dhamma, Kernail Singh Sarpanch Chaini, Sita Ram Retired Head Master and Shakti Singh Retired Head Master. |
