Ridiculous: Leaders leaving PDP, Mehbooba shifts blames on Centre
3/27/2021 12:19:02 AM

Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 26: As prominent leaders of the party are deserting PDP, Mehbooba Mufti shifted all blames on the Centre for prevailing anarchy in her own house.
Instead of accommodating wishes and aspirations of all senior leaders of the party, Mehbooba Mufti is giving ridiculous excuse just to target the Centre.
"GOI is trying to dismantle PDP by luring & threatening its members. Investigative agencies like ED are being used to intimidate me. To make matters worse, Im being denied of my fundamental right to a passport. If this isn't political vendetta then what is?", she tweeted from her official twitter handle.
During the last two-year almost all senior leaders of the party have quitted PDP due to unnecessary interference of a coterie within the party.
All founder members of the party, except Abdul Reham Veeri have already deserted the PDP due to style of working of Mehbooba Mufti.
Abdul Rehman Veeri, a four-time MLA and a 'dedicated' disciple of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, is the only founder member left in the PDP as of now.
In an attempt to 'accommodate' all senior leaders Mehbooba Mufti appointed new office bearers and reconstituted Political Affairs Committee (PAC)-the highest decision making body of the party, but of no avail. This decision has showed her weakness in dealing with prevailing factionalism in the party.
Two days after over-hauling of the party, three senior leaders publically expressed their anger. While of two of them namely Khurshid Alam and Yasir Reshi have resigned from the party, Surinder Choudhary has resigned from the post of general secretary and PAC.
Majority of the senior leaders of PDP have joined newly formed Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP).
