| ARTO Poonch misuses DDC’s direction to felicitates encroachment | | Shifts Old Bus Stand to Flood Zone near SK Bridge | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Apr 6: Under the grab of DDC Poonch’s direction, the concerned ARTO has allegedly made mischievous attempt to facilitates illegal construction by directing transporters to vacate Old Bus Stand Poonch and shift to near SK Bridge, despite the fact that this action of ARTO will give boost to encroachment. Although the issue of illegal construction near SK Bridge which falls under Red Zone has reached at higher ups, but ARTO Poonch has directed transporters to vacate old bus stand Poonch and shift all vehicles near SK Bridge which indicates suspicious on the ground.
Sources informed that the administration had already banned illegal constructions in red zone time and again but instead of rhetoric no action was taken on ground. They further said that the direction of ARTO to transporters is a deliberate attempt to help those who have constructed illegal constructions in the red zone. It is pertinent to mention here that already irrigation canal, PWD embankment, water bodies, culverts were encroached and huge illegal structures built over it, still illegal constructions are going on in RED zone. When contacted DC Poonch said that he had directed ARTO to decongest some places in Poonch city and divert some vehicles to other places. |
