Munish Gupta seeks time bound redressal of people’s problems | Residents of Lane 3 Dharap allege step-motherly treatment | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 15: The residents of Lane Number 3 of Dharap today alleged stepmotherly treatment by the administration over civic and other issues being faced by them. Munish Gupta, Editor-in-Chief Early Times has demanded that the government should redress the problems being faced by the residents on time bound, as the 2nd wave of COVID-19 has taken the entire country into its grip. Munish said that people of the area have been left at the mercy of God and no concrete action is being taken to mitigate the sufferings, amid a spike in the number of Corona cases in Jammu, the administration should come into action without any further delay. The residents informed Munish Gupta that that the roads and streets in the area are in the worst condition, they are also upset with the fact that the garbage is not being lifted from the area thus creating nuisance. The locals told Munish Gupta that the municipal authorities have failed them since the garbage remains unattended for days together thus creating problems for the people to move on the roads. They said that some of the garbage gets collected in drains thus creating yet another problem. It is pertinent to mention here that the Lane Number 3 Dharap is a part of the Gandhi Nagar constituency, but unfortunately, the administration seems unbothered to listen to the residents honestly. “We are craving for the basic amenities and it is the duty of the government to provide us, all the facilities. We are living a primitive life since the basic amenities are being denied to them. We are not only entitled to basic things but to other things that come up with the passage of time”, the residents said, adding that swift action is needed for an hour and the government should speed up the process of mitigating the problems of people. “The roads need to be properly developed so that there is no dust during the summer season. Many health-related issues are reported in the area due to the dust that comes up from bad roads of the area”, they alleged. |
