RAMBAN, June 6: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad hailed Lieutenant Governor’s decision to carry out road safety audit and rectification measures within a week’s time by the concerned Department. It will help to minimize road mishaps on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, she added.
While expressing grief over the loss of 5 precious lives in a road accident at Digdol, the Chairperson appealed to the Governor Administration to release Rs 4 lakh compensation in favour of families of each deceased person. "The road accident at Digdol in the district is saddening. In this hour of sadness, my thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones. I hope that the injured recover at the earliest,” she said in her message. |
