Nagrota Covid care centre sans proper washroom | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 6: A five bedded Covid Care Center (CCC) set inside a government middle school at Nagrota is without a proper washroom for patients. According to a news report uploaded by Straight Line on social media, the toilet inside the CCC is in a pathetic condition. The video reveals that the wash basin of the toilet is broken and the toilet is unfit for human use. If a patient gets admitted in the CCC, he will have to pass through thick bushes and grass to reach the toilet. There is an imminent threat about a person getting bitten by a snake on his way to the toilet. It may be recalled that the CCCs were set up in every Panchayat halqas across J&K after Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, directed the administration to come up with these facilities in the rural areas so that people are provided emergency treatment. The CCC in Nagrota has been set up in a dingy room and no bed has been provided with an oxygen cylinder. Amount of Rs one lakh was sanctioned for setting up each center. But here it doesn’t appear that so much money has been spent as placing five beds with bed sheets and pillows doesn't cost much. The Covid Care Centre is nothing but a mockery, which has been set up to mislead the higher ups. |
