Webinar on activities to engage children during Covid held

Jammu, June 6: Regional Outreach Bureau, J&K & Ladakh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a webinar on activities to engage children during Covid times.
The webinar was focused on the activities to engage the children at home during COVID-19 pandemic so that they will not get bored. The experts also emphasized on the importance of physical, mental and Nutritional well being of the children while at home and decreasing the screen time during Online classes.
Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Field Outreach Bureau, Udhampur briefed the participants regarding the role an work of Regional Outreach Bureau and its Field Offices in J&K and Ladakh. He said that a series of Webinars are being organized on various themes across UT of J&K and Ladakh to spread awareness among masses. This Webinar will focus on various aspects of engaging children at home during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In his address, Ram Paul Dogra, journalist , writer and social activist while briefing the audience on the role of parents in engaging the children during Covid times said that the parents need to frame a Time Table for the children and strictly follow it. Jyot Kaur, Wellness Consultant and Neurobics coach, Presidential Award Winning Team briefed the audience on the importance of Mental Health of the Children. She laid stress on the brain exercises along with physical ones and engaged the audience by performing various Brain exercises on screen. She further added that we must focus on the Mental Health of the Children to perform better in their lives.
Jyoti Bhagat, Medical Officer, while delivering the address on ‘Awareness on Health and Nutrition’ said that there is a dire need to focus on the Nutrition of the children and parents must provide Homemade foods to children. Various officers, parents, teachers and students, Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag, Shahid Mohammad Lone, Media and Communications Officer, PIB Jammu, Shiekh Mudasir Amin, Field Exhibition Officer, Jammu, Adil Shameem Andrabi, Sunita Attri were also present alongwith officers from Ministry of I&B. The Webinar was moderated by Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, FOB Udhampur.
