Congress activists distribute free ration among needy at Panjtirthi

JAMMU, June 6: In continuation to its efforts to reach out to needy in pandemic situation, senior Congress leader Varun Magotra and his team of activists today distributed dry ration packets among certain sections of people in Panjtirthi area of Jammu city.
The distribution of dry ration packets was done in ward number 1 and 2 this morning in presence of the senior citizens of the area. The locals highly appreciated the gesture of young Congress leaders and activists to reach out to the needy families through this ration distribution drive. Magotra and his team had also come forward to help the poor, destitute and needy earlier by distributing dry ration during this crisis situation, when most of the economic activities are affected due to Corona disease. Magotra appealed right thinking and conscious people to come forward and contribute their might in reducing agonies/ problems of needy people who are in distress presently due to economic hardships. There is already a direction from Congress high command to all state/ district/ tehsil/ village activists of the party to render their services, in whatever way, to help the needy and deserving people who are facing economic crises and are on the verge of starvation, he added. Magotra has also suggested to party leaders, activists and other people belonging to other sections of political or social groups to pool their resources in bringing out affected common people from this common misery.
Others who accompanied Varun Magotra included Ram Magotra (Ward No 1 President), Raj Kumar Sodhi, Naresh Verma, Vishal Khajuria, Bhanu Rajput and Arjun Sharma.
