Electric fault is in a minds of rulers, not in lines: AAP
6/10/2021 11:29:28 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 10: Reacting to the hue & cry in the nook & corner of Jammu province, particularly Jammu city, regarding irregular and unscheduled cuts in supply of electricity in Jammu province, the Aam Aadmi Party, Jammu, in a press release issued here has openly maintained that in view of three mega hydel projects,- Salal, Baghliar & Dul-Hasti, people are still perspiring and suffering badly, indeed the fault is in the minds of rulers and not in the lines.
The release expressed great wonder and dismay over the erratic supply of electricity in entire Jammu province be it winter chilly season or hot perspiring summer as a result people in general have become used to such unwanted cuts and that there is no use to cry or agitate against it because there is none to take cognizance be it so called popular government of traditional political parties or the present dispensation under LG being directly remote controlled from New Delhi.
The release said that at present three Mega Hydel Projects namely Salal Hydel Project generating 690 Mega watts, Baghliar Hydel Project 900 MWs and Dul-Hasti Hydel Project with 650 MW capacity are generating power to the extent of approximately 2250 MWS and as per reliable sources major share of this generation is being credited to Northern grid for onward distribution among Northern states of India leaving the main power generating Province in dark & dingy state of affairs like primitive days of the mankind, despite the fact that the power portfolio in erstwhile J&K state remained with Jammu based ministers over last 7 decades, the release said & maintained that such situations in which the rich resources of one region are recklessly drained and passed on to another region with ulterior political consideration, leaving the parent region high & dry and people to suffer for no fault, then it is natural to give birth to discontentment and bad feelings against the ruling class, whosoever it may be.
The release further added that heart burning becomes more severe when people come to know that around Rs. 3000 crores goes to government coffers annually on account of cost of electricity generated through these three Mega Hydel Projects and in return get Lolly pops through JUMLA announcements.
Acclaiming the sincerity & honesty of Delhi CM Kejriwal for providing free electricity to Delhites up to 200 units when Delhi government cannot generate a single unit, the AAP release exhorted upon the Jammu & Kashmir people to emulate the decision of Delhites who chose a sincere & people friendly AAP government at the centre & proved that it is the only AAP model of governance and there is no Gujrat model.
The release further said that the only AAP Delhi Model of Governance is the only solution of all evils in the country, which is based on four primary points, beneficial to all sections of society, has virtually brought a revolution in Delhi, which is drawing attention from the public of all states of the country, besides international focus evident from the visit of Government school in Delhi by none else than Ivanika Trump.
Congratulating Delhites for their prudent & wise step for bringing AAP government to form their destiny changing opportunity, the AAP, Jammu enjoined upon the people of J&K to emulate the foot prints of Delhi people to get rid of corruption, communalism, nepotism & discrimination as the people is fed up with the conventional spent forces who have exploited the people for last 72 years to enhance their political interests.
