High-level meet reviews security in Shopian,99 violators fined for Corporate misbehaviour | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 10: A high level meeting on Thursday reviewed security scenario and law and order situation in the south Kashmir district of Shopian, where 99 people who violated COVID-19 protocols were fined, a police spokesman said Thursday evening. He said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police for South Kashmir Region today visited various police station and police components of the district. He said DIG chaired several meeting and reviewed overall security scenario. Law and order situation in the district was also discussed by DIG with senior police officers during the meeting. The officers were directed to maintain strict vigil to foil any attempt by miscreants and Anti National Elements (ANE) to disrupt peace. They also discussed the measures taken to combat COVID-19 pandemic in the district. Meanwhile, police spokesman said police continued action against those who were found violating COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the district. He said police in Shopian seized 24 vehicles and fined 99 violators with a fine of Rs 34500 Thursday. |
