Early Times Report

Jammu, Jun 12: On the occasion of "World Child Labor Day" a variety of saplings were planted by the members of NGO "Jiyo Aur Jeene Do" at Udhampur Railway Station.
While Speaking on the occasion President Tariq Shah, said, “Our organization has been doing tree plantation since last many years and such efforts will continue in future also”.
Today on the World Child Labor Day we have planted many saplings at Udhampur Railway Station. Our organization is always striving for humanity.
In the last few days during the lock down a survey was done by our organization and it was observed that in urban areas a large number of young children are working in many shops and other commercial establishments and are earning their livelihood.
This is not fair and the children below 14 years of age should not be seen at work but taking education in school. Every child has the right to take education under the "Right to Education" Act.
We make an appeal to all that children of this age should not be employed anywhere. If such things are observed anywhere then please contact our NGO at 9419162238. The government also has a specific department Child Line and we appeal to them also to inform our NGO about such children. We would try to provide boarding, lodging and other basic facilities to those children.
Our organization is ready to take responsibility of basic needs of every such child. We believe that every child has the right to flourish and get education. As it is necessary to plant trees and take care of them, in the same way every child has the right to get education and children's welfare is necessary for development of the society and nation.
On this occasion, Railway Police Force Incharge Sanjay Raina, Station Master Parshotam Jamwal participated in the plantation drive in which along with President Tariq Shah Rajesh Khajuria, Neena Kaul, Ruby Sheikh, Sahil and others were present
