BJP ‘unhappy’ with police, civil admin in JK | Mera Jewan, Kora Kagaz! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: While the Bharatiya Janta Party leaders have been leveling serious allegations against the police and the civil administration in Jammu and Kashmir, the party doesn’t seem to be happy with the working of the government. And when the leaders from the party, which is running the country are not happy with the government in Jammu and Kashmir, the public opinion in general can only be imagined. The BJP has accused the police of security lapse in the killing of its party leader and councilor Rakesh Pandita in Tral on June 2. The BJP termed the killing as security lapse. “It is a security lapse. We’re not security agencies aware that three unidentified militants were roaming in the area? Is not this a security lapse? We agree with the fact that our leader had not taken PSOs along with him,” BJP general secretary, Ashok Koul told reporters at Srinagar party office. The police however denied any security lapse. The police said even though the councilor was provided two personal security officers and accommodation, Rakesh had preferred visit Tral without the PSOs. Last month, a BJP leader from Kashmir took a dig at the civil administration over the imposition of lockdown. In a party handout, BJP’s Kashmir Media In-charge and youth leader Manzoor Bhat in a statement said, “People are confused about lockdown, nor administration is doing anything to implement it on the ground and police has also become mute spectator on the issue.” He urged LG administration, either to impose a strict lockdown or lift all the restrictions in Kashmir. “Passenger vehicles are openly violating the Covid19 guidelines and while lockdown has been only restricted to the closing of shops,” he added. Very recently a senior BJP leader and former Speaker Kavinder Gupta told media that bureaucrats were running Jammu and Kashmir. Trying to evade questions he hinted that the things will improve only once the democratically elected government led by BJP comes to power. |
