| GEASSOC welcomes promotions of Engineers made in Jal Shakti Deptt. | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of its State President Er Gopal Sharma today to discuss burning issues of engineers and further line of action to be taken. In this meeting, Association also paid tributes to the engineers who have lost their lives due to Covid.
In the handout issued by the Association, the recent promotions made by Jal Shakti deptt (Earlier from Assistant Executive Engineer to Executive Engineer and now from Junior Engineer to Assistant Engineer) were welcomed.
Association also hailed the initiatives of Commissioner/ Secretary, Jal Shakti deptt and his entire team for removing stagnation at different levels. The engineers have high hopes from Commissioner/Secretary, Jal Shakti Deptt, and expect that their sufferings viz regularisation of services of engineers at all levels, filling of vacant positions at all levels, review of engineering cadre on the analogy of R&B Deptt will also be redressed shortly.
Association also appealed that every engineer should take the prescribed doses of vaccination of Covid and take full security measures against Covid while discharging duty.
All the executive members of Association gave a number of suggestions for better implementation of Development Agenda in UT of Jammu and Kashmir and ensuring coordination between Line and allied engineering deptts.
