Kishtwar police challan, seize vehicles for traffic, weekend lockdown violations | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 12: Stepping up its authority towards implementation of strong Corona weekend lockdown with an aim to check the spread of COVID-19 in the District, Kishtwar police today laid various Nakas in and around Kishtwar town and find several people violating COVID lockdown as well as for traffic violations. As per the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar police led by SHO Kishtwar Syed Abid Shah Bukhari & PSI Sakshi Sharma laid Naka at Bus Stand Kishtwar and challaned several vehicles besides also seized many other vehicles for violation of traffic norms, non position of documents, venturing without masks, roaming without proper permission during lockdown. Over two dozen vehicles were challaned at the particular point by the police team besides also seized several vehicles including two Scorpio with Delhi number after the driver of the vehicles fail to produce valid documents. Later a police party led by Sub Inspector Shakshi laid a surprise check at bus stand and challaned the violators for traffic and lockdown violations. Shakshi appealed the people to stay inside the homes and did not roam in the market without any reason. She also made an appeal to the women to stay inside and help them in preventing spread of the disease. “Police must adhere to SOPs— we must ensure that sanctity of the lockdown is to be maintained,” said SHO Kishtwar. |
