| J&K branch of the ICAI celebrates 73rd CA Day | | |

Jammu, July 1: The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated its 73rd CA. Foundation Day which was also graced by Kavinder Gupta, former Speaker and Dy. CM, and Sat Sharma, former cabinet minister, as chief guest and guest of honor, respectively.
The celebrations started off with flag hoisting ceremony at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu. The celebration included Tree Plantation Drive at Jammu Tawi Railway Station in association with Railway Police Jammu.
Later on, daily need based materials were also distributed amongst children of “Muskan Home for Mentally Challenged Children”, at Channi Rama, Jammu. Donations were also made at Gau Raksha Samiti, Jammu.
Kavinder Gupta while congratulating the Chartered Accountants on CA Day, recalled the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on ‘’Mann Ki Baat’’ that the PM had sought a gift from Chartered Accountants to bring the Indian Audit firms on the global level and said that Chartered Accountants can play a positive role in bringing transparency to the economy.
Sat Sharma also lauded the role of Chartered Accountants in general & the J&K Branch of ICAI in particular for holding various Environmental and Social drives continuously during past years.
CA Vinay Jamwal, chairman of J&K Branch of ICAI, in his inaugural address welcomed the guests & emphasized on the importance of the CA Day.
He thanked the members for their overwhelming participation in the CA Day celebrations. Further, he also highlighted that ICAI a true partner in nation building and has always collaborated with various initiatives of the Government and Regulatory bodies for facilitating the implementation of various policies and measures directed towards the development of economy of Nation.
CA Nakul Saraf (Vice Chairman), CA Shalay Razdan (Past Chairman), CA Lalit K. Gupta (NICASA Chairman), CA Arvind Dev Jamwal (Member) along with number of Chartered Accountants took part in the celebrations.
