Akhnoor, Jul 1: To fulfill their responsibility towards environment and society Chief Manager of State Bank of India Akhnoor branch Ankush Sharma organized a plantation program in which plants of different species like Gulmohar, Guava, Mango, Amla, Behda and many other species were planted at various locations including Mini Stadium (Indoor), Industrial Area etc.
On this occasion, Ankush Sharma said that trees are being cut continuously in the name of development, due to which the balance of the environment is deteriorating, so there is an urgent need to make people aware about planting trees. He said that trees are an important part of our life, to save human life, trees play an important role in giving clean air and keep the environment balanced. Appealing to the people, he said that all the people should plant more and more fruitful and shady plants in their houses and nearby public places so that our coming generation can breathe pure air. He said that our role does not end only by planting trees, there is a great need to take care of them. Mohit, Deshant Jasrotia, Vivek Malhotra, Balwan Singh, Rishi Kumar Pava and others were present on this occasion.
