DLSA Reasi hosts legal awareness programme on Traffic rules, Victim Compensation Scheme

REASI, Aug 11: District Legal Services Authority, Reasi today organized an online legal awareness programme on "Traffic Rules existing in the UT of J&K" under the guidance and supervision of R. N. Wattal, the DLSA Chairman.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Rajesh Gupta was the resource person, while Advocate, Shalendra Bhardwaj conducted the proceedings of the program and also spoke on the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
The online program was organized as per the Mandate of the Calendar of the programs of Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority for the month of August. The objective of conducting this program was to apprise the general public about the Traffic Rules and the risks involved in the violation of the same.
Meanwhile, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi also organized another legal awareness Programe on the topic "Victim Compensation Scheme with Special Reference to Acid Attack Survivors and Rape Victims" at Legal Aid Clinic Pouni District Reasi existing under A2 Project.
Advocate M.S.Mir- the Panel Advocate was the resource person. The resource person threw light on the importance of the scheme and shared his valuable knowledge on the subject with the participants.
The program was organized as per the Mandate of the Calendar of the programs of Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority for the month of August under the project "Access to Justice for J&K" (Phase-II). The objective of organising this program was also to generate awareness among the local masses about this scheme so that the victims of such unfortunate incidents can get the benefit of this scheme.
