EJAC call on CS, presents memorandum of demands | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 11: A high level delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today called on Chief Secretary JKUT at Civil Secretariat Srinagar and submitted a memorandum of their demands. Led by president, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, the delegation raised several issues confronted by them and also presented a charter of demands concerning the employees. The meeting was conducted in a congenial atmosphere. The issues faced by the employees of JKUT were thoroughly elaborated before the chair. Chief Secretary keenly listened to the issues raised and assured the delegation about their resolution. Reassuring complete support to the worthy officer in all endeavour aimed at taking Jammu Kashmir to the pinnacle of success and development the delegation lauded the administrative insight coupled with the pro-employee attitude of the administration. The president thanked the generous officer for his keenness to work on the issues faced by the employees. The delegation exuded optimism and hoped that under the administrative leadership of A. K Mehta, Jammu & Kashmir will scale new heights. The delegation hoped that besides embarking on new developmental paths, the officer will initiate measures for the redressal of some long pending demands so that the employees heave a sigh of relief. As already said the delegation presented a charter of demands to worthy Chief Secretary and discussed each and every point raised in the charter. Besides Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, Dr Manzoor (Chairman SEECC), Mohammad Akbar Khan (President, Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Forum), Bashir Ahmad Thokar (Publicity Secretary, EJAC), Tariq Ahmad Sofi (Spokesperson, EJAC) and Showkat Ahmad Bhat (Senior Leader, EJAC) were a part of the delegation. |
