Leopard kills 6-domestic animals | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 11: On Wednesday morning presence of a leopard created panic among the people of village Chak Sajjan of Kathua when they found half a dozen domestic animals killed by the beast. According to locals, during the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday leopard killed six goats of Des Raj of village Chak Sajjan, a few kilometers from District Headquarters. Des Raj said that the terror of leopard is throughout the village. He said that a couple of days back leopard killed his calf and now he again had marked his presence. "Despite repeated incidences neither the administration nor the wild life departments gives gearing to their problem, making poor people to suffer," he miffed. He also said that the presence of leopards in villages is terrifying and the children are quite in terror. "We don't want to kill it. The Wildlife Department can easily cage them without doing any harm to them. Children are scared of these animals and the department must do something to deal with the growing scare," he added. |
