RAJOURI, Aug 11: The Department of Urdu, Govt. Degree College, Thannamandi organized an online extension lecture on the topic "Hindustan ki Tehreek-e-Azadi main Urdu Shayerion our Adeeboon ka Role".
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Abdul Rashid Manhas, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Urdu, University of Jammu, Jammu. The programme was started with welcome address by Dr. Shokit Ali, Head Department of Urdu, GDC Thannamandi. Through this lecture, the speaker enlightened the participants about the role played by the Urdu poets and fiction writers in the Indian freedom struggle. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi lauded the efforts of the Department of Urdu in general and organising committee in particular in organising such an informative lecture.
The program was co-ordinated by Prof. Raheela Mushtaq and formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Mudasir Majeed, Head Department of Islamic Studies. |
