GDC Jindrah organises essay writing competition

JAMMU, Aug 11: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah under its week long celebrations under "Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 2021" organised an Inter college essay writing competition.
The entries were invited from different colleges under the theme "Unsung women Heros of Freedom Struggle of India" using 'whatsApp' as social media platform.The competition was organised by Prof. Jasneet kaur, Department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah under the guidance of Prof. Rajshree Dhar, the Principal, GDC Jindrah.Dr. Ashok Kumar, Department of Education and Dr. Rajiv Katoch, Department English and Prof. Jasneet Kaur were the jury members for the event and Dr. Sunil Sharma, Department of Dogri and Dr Seema, Department of Library were incharged for compiling the whole event. A total no. of thirty five entries were received from different colleges wherein first position was grabbed by Meenakshi Jamwal, sem 2nd of GDC Jindrah and she was awarded with a momento.
The second position was shared by two students viz., Tanisha choudhary, sem 2nd, GCW Gandhi Nagar and Hassena Wajab, sem 2nd , GCW Gandhi Nagar whereas third position was secured by Tanvir Singh, 2nd sem of GDC RS Pura. E-certificates were provided to the students placed at second and third positions.
