Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including 3 AK-47 rifles and 16 grenades, in the border town of Gurez in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said on Wednesday. They said following specific information about a militant hideout, a joint search operation was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police and Army in the forest area of Tarbal Gurez, which is surrounded by Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) from three sides. During the operation, security forces unearthed a militant hideout and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition -- including three AK-47 rifles, 12 AK rifle magazines, over 350 rounds, 16 grenades, two pistols and four pistol magazines. However, they said no arrests have been made so far. |
