Varied public services provided during Weekly Block Diwas

DODA, Jan 5: The District Administration Doda held weekly Block Diwas proceedings across the designated places of the district to redress the public grievances and to provide varied services. The weekly meetings were held despite harsh weather conditions. The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Sharma.
The teams of different departments along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances. As many as 19 grievances/applications were received during the program, out of which all feasible grievances were redressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot.
Several services which includes 12 category certificates, 29 Domicile certificates, 04 different revenue papers and 02 birth certificates were provided to the people on spot during the day long program held at designated locations in Bhaderwah, Sub division Gandoh, Subdivision Assar, Subdivision Thathri and at BDO office Ghat.
Moreover seventeen families were covered under Ayushman Bharat scheme. One each beneficiary under KCC card and scholarship schemes were also covered.
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner visited the BDO office Ghat to oversee the proceedings. The DDC inspected the stalls put up by different departments. He asked the concerned nodal officer to conduct the next two Block diwas programs at the same venue. In addition to this the DDC directed the concerned to give wide publicity to the venue so that the people shall participate in large numbers to project and seek redress of their grievances.
