Govt should resolve issues pertaining to ‘Gair Mumkin Khad’ at earliest: MK Bhardwaj | ‘Harassment of local residents should be ended’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 5: Commenting on the delay being made by the Government in resolving issues pertaining to “Gair Mumkin Khad” lands, the President of High Court Jammu Bar Association M K Bhardwaj said that the government should make expeditious efforts so that people might not be harassed anymore. While talking to Early Times, MK Bhardwaj said that those lands which actually come under Gair Mumkin Khad should not be disturbed and should be protected but there are several cases where status of land has been recorded as Gair Mumkin Khad and properties have been built on them should be considered favorably. “At many places colonies have been developed on Gair Mumkin Khad in Revenue records with proper infrastructure and amenities but due to failure of the authorities to decide on this issue, people are facing problems,” he added. He further said that the committee constituted to prepare SOP for the conduct of demarcation exercise for such land, should come with resolutions at the earliest. |
