Director Research conducts review meeting of Stations-Schemes of SKUAST-J

JAMMU, Jan 5: Director Research, Prof. Pardeep Wali conducted a meeting with the Heads of Stations, Sub-Stations, centres and centrally sponsored schemes of SKUAST-J located in different regions of Jammu Division to review the progress of their mandates, resources available and gaps to ensure their smooth functioning. Dr. Mahital Jamwal, Dy. Director Research welcomed and introduced the participants of different stations and centrally sponsored schemes. The participants discussed about their respective mandates and research achievements. Prof. Wali thanked the participants for keeping their spirits high in delivering their duties and directed them that all the communications should be routed through proper channel and should be disposed off in a time bound manner. He informed the Heads to direct the concerned scientists to work in the line to release crop new varieties on priority and all scientists should submit project proposals to various external funding agencies. Prof. Wali informed that the budget year is near to close and every effort should be made to finish the activities, trainings and other assignments related to financial matters well in time and directed for judicious use of funds and clearance of pending bills before March 15th, 2022.
Prof. Wali intimated the Heads for updating of respective websites with their achievements and latest activities, in consultation with Nodal Officer, Data Centre and Nodal Officer, P&ME Cell. He suggested that impact analysis of the projects/ schemes may be studied by the Principal Investigators in involving Head of the concerned Department/ Station and KVKs through Directorate of Extension and Department of Agriculture/ Horticulture, Jammu. He impressed for timely submission of their Monthly Progress Reports to the Directorate of Research for onward submission to the concerned quarter.
