Suri asks teenagers to get vaccinated, help eradicate COVID-19 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 5: Expressing his satisfaction over the beginning of vaccination for teenagers in the age group of 15 to 17 years, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri said that a positive response by youngsters across the nation, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, has brought much relief to their parents who were worried for the safety of their wards. Appreciating the youngsters who got themselves vaccinated on first two days of the opening of slots in Jammu and Kashmir, Raman Suri said that this shows their maturity level, safety concern and a zeal to get rid of the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible. This is a healthy sign as well as a strong message for those who are reluctant to get vaccinated anywhere in the country. He urged all youngsters to get themselves registered as soon as possible and help the government achieve its target of vaccinating all J&K teenagers of the said age group within a span of twelve days. This drive, he said, deserves accolades as the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's administration had done a commendable job by arranging vaccines in schools and colleges besides at various health centres to facilitate students. Raman Suri thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading such a large vaccination drive successfully and ensuring that vaccine reaches even the remotest areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the way youngsters are responding, they are not only helping India achieve its target but also contributing in ending the pandemic besides bringing a kind of relief among their parents, who were scared of sending them to schools and colleges. |
