Kastigarh, Chilli Pingal to benefit from Aspirational Block Development Programme in Doda District

DODA, Jan 6: Kastigarh and Chilli Pingal of Doda District have been tagged to benefit from the Aspirational Block Development Programme.
The UT of Jammu & Kashmir has rolled out Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) with the aim to ensure expeditious improvement in the Socio-Economic status of 44 most backward Blocks of the UT.
In Doda district, Kastigarh and Chilli Pingal Blocks are being developed under ABDP based on 21 performance indicators covering four major aspects of Human Development i,e Poverty (3 indicators), Health & Nutrition (6 Indicators), Education (7 Indicators) and Basic Infrastructure (5 Indicators) in consultation with NITI Ayog, GOI.
To discuss the modalities for smooth implementation of the Programme in the district, Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned officers, here at DC office complex.
At the outset, the DC appointed District Statistics and Evaluation Office (DSEO) as District Nodal Officer cum Coordinator, while designating ACD as Nodal officer for Kastigarh and SDM Gandoh as Nodal Officer for Chilly Pingal block for coordination of works and implementation of the program.
The DC directed the line departments to submit the details of activities which have been carried out till date in these blocks, to the concerned block level Nodal officers/BDOs, so that a comprehensive base line report can be formulated for future course of action.
Further, the DC directed the DSEO to submit the baseline document by taking all the necessary information from the respective quarters in coordination with the block level Nodal officers by next Wednesday. He said the understanding of the basic factual position with respect to the identified indicators is imperative for formulating the ABDP action plan shall to achieve the tangible and desired results.
The DC directed all the line departments to synergize their efforts with laying special focus on the basic criteria already identified and to achieve the rest of the targets by mobolising all the necessary resources at their disposal.
