Provide Govt advertisement to Jammu newspapers, don't deprive them of their rights: BJP leader | ‘Media always sided with truth, its voice of voiceless’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: Senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party Abhijeet Jasrortia on Thursday said that no newspaper in Jammu should be deprived of its right to government advertisements. Talking to Early Times Jasrortia said, “The Jammu newspapers should get their rights. They have always sided with the truth and have been the voice of the voiceless.” He said, “The present regime in J&K is led by Lieutenant Governor and no injustice should be done with anyone, including the media.” Asked about the demand of people to declare a holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh, Jasrotia said, “Only BJP can get a holiday declared on his birthday. Already we have succeeded in getting a holiday announced on Accession Day. We have also got the holiday on Sheikh Abdullah’s birthday scrapped as he had backstabbed Maharaja Hari Singh.” Jasrotia, while referring to reservation for Gujars and Bakerwals, said, “BJP has done justice with them after so many years by getting seats in assembly reserved for them. Members of these communities were misled by the National Conference, Congress and PDP for the past so many years.” |
