J&K Govt is deaf, allege Covid warriors | Seek continuation of services, not extension lollipop | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: Youth who were appointed during the peak Covid times have been sitting on a dharna for the past 6-days to seek continuation of their services. Protesters while talking to Early Times said, “We have served the people when their own family members were not ready to touch them. We were described as Covid warriors. For the past six days we have been sitting on the roads to seek continuation of our services but the government has turned a deaf and is not paying any attention towards our demands.” They said, “Shaheed Bhagat Singh had said when the government becomes deaf an explosion is needed to make it hear. We won’t take this extension lollipop, we want continuation. When other states can regularize the Covid warriors, why can’t the J & K government do it? We want to tell the helmsmen that their government has failed.” Protesters said that they are 1600 youth and they are ready to even sacrifice their lives to seek continuation of their services. |
