Panthers Party leader Sewa Singh Bali comes out in support of terminated health care workers
‘Would come on roads, protest at gate of GMC Jammu’

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 6: Panthers Party leader Sewa Singh Bali today threatened that he along with other activists of party would come on road and lodge protest if the LG led Jammu & Kashmir administration does not revoke the termination order of health care professionals appointed under Emergency Covid Response Plan (ERCP) by National Health Mission (NHM).
Bali joined the protesting health care professionals and assured them of full cooperation in their struggle.
He while talking to Early Times said that the decision of administration to terminate the contract of health care professionals appointed under ECRP is totally uncalled for since such professionals working in other states of the country are continuing with their contract. He threatened to lodge protest at the entrance of Government Medical College, Jammu.
“I have already met LG Manoj Sinha and also his advisor R K Bhatnagar. I also presented a memorandum to the LG with the hope that early action would be taken but that has not happened so far. I am going to meet Bhatnagar today once again and hopefully there would be some light at the end of the tunnel for these hapless people,” said Bali.
The Panthers Party leader sounded a word of caution for the people at helm and said that he along with his party colleagues would not hesitate to come on roads and lodge strong protest in support of demands of terminated health care professionals. He said that despite putting their lives to risk by attending to COVID-19 patients these health care workers have been shown the door unceremoniously by the people at helm.
