| Maanya attends national council of young scientists | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 6: Maanya Vikram Randhawa, the daughter of the soil, has attended Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Council of Young Scientist which was organized at Vigyan Prasar Science Club, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi.
Pertinent to mention that the Maanya Randhawa is daughter of Ch. Vikram Randhawa, former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and she was the only girl from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Jodhamal Public School, Channi to attend this feat. Maanya is a student of Class 4th and has been awarded with participation place in merit. Pertinent to mention that the girls are shining in every field be it academic, sports, politics and any other field you name. The Government of India is also very sensitive towards girl child and has launched many schemes like Laadli Beti, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Marriage Assistance Scheme etc., etc.,. In the modern times the girls are competing with boys and are even have joined armed forces as fighter pilots to defend the nation from enemies. Gone are the days when parents used to think that daughters are burden as now the daughters have proved that they are more strong and responsible, loving and caring than sons.
The school administration has also congratulated Maanya Vikram Randhawa for participating in the national event to represent their school. |
